There’s no turbo lag when you push the pedal at low speeds, and there’s plenty of power left at the top of the rev range for merging and passing. The new eight-speed automatic transmission offers a higher numerical first gear for quicker launches and a taller top gear that makes it easier to cruise comfortably.

The rural and urban driving routes available during my test did not lend themselves to exploring the fatigue-relieving or potentially life-saving elements of the Lexus safety system plus three.

However, during a fast-paced run down a winding two-lane rural road with several decreasing radii, limited sight turns, I was grateful to the new map-based curve speed management. It slowed the nx just enough from the adaptive Cruise Control set speed to handle some unexpectedly tight turns without drama.”The most popular luxury car brand in the world is now offering a new model called the Lexus NX.

How much cargo space does the 2022 Lexus NX have?

Cargo space behind the rear seat increases to 22.7 cubic ft., which is more than what was offered in last year’s NX but is still plenty for five airline roller bags.

Fold-down the 60/40 rear seats increase that to 46.9 cups.ft., which is less than what was offered in the previous model but is still plenty of room for longer items such as bicycles or big-screen TVs.

Because the 2022 NX does offer a spare tire, there’s a large amount of extra storage space underneath the cargo floor where the spares would typically be stored.

The underfloor compartment is also capable of holding a purse, laptop, digital camera, and other small items you may wish to keep secret while the NX is parked. Premium and luxury packages include hands-free operation of the lift-backed door. Cargo area pet divider also available this year.
